Year 8 & 9 Knockout Netball

29.08.19

Congratulations to the Year 8/9 Knockout Netball team who competed in the Pool B Statewide Finals at Priceline Stadium on Monday! Kildare College was the only metropolitan school to go into the finals, playing against four country schools on the day.

The competition started with a tough loss against Unity College. Kildare College then played against Maitland Lutheran and came away with a convincing win. This placed them in the top two teams of their Pool. The third game of the day was against Clare. The game was exciting and challenging, unfortunately the team lost by three goals. The team then lost to Eastern Fleurieu in the playoffs, finishing fourth in the competition.

The players should be commended on their strength, positivity, encouragement, teamwork and game play throughout the competition. The team has been training weekly since the beginning of Term 2, working on skills, game play and court set up. The team has exceptional talent, with true leadership on and off the court.

Congratulations to the following team members; Sophie Huet-Merryfull (captain), Caitlin Patton, Raine Menzies, Emily McPhee, Isabel Burdett, Natalia Cooper, Charli Hazelhurst, Jorgia Lloyd, Chloe McPhee, Tamsyn Nation, Lucy Pavia.
