The Chai & Chat Team with the support of our Nunga Group, hosted a shared cultural lunch as part of Refugee Week.
The students celebrated the positive contributions of refugees, while raising awareness about the issues affecting refugees.
This year’s theme was “a world of stories”, so students spoke about their journeys and challenges of coming to Australia. We appreciate their courage and felt honoured to hear their stories.
Two students from the Chai & Chat Team are Australian Refugee Association (ARA) Youth Ambassadors, who spoke about how they are advocating for refugees by raising awareness and volunteering their time to support refugees.
