Kildare had the pleasure of hosting Year 3 students from St Martin's Catholic Primary School to participate in interactive STEM and Food & Hospitality workshops.

During these workshops, Year 9 STEM Leaders assisted the Year 3 students with making a kaleidoscope from scratch that exhibited patterns inspired by feelings and emotions. After engaging with the Engineering Design Process, students marvelled in their personalised creations while learning about the key concepts of light, reflection and symmetrical patterns.

The Food & Hospitality workshop was run by the Year 10 Child Studies class as a part of their learning about children and healthy eating. Students planned a range of recipes for the Year 3 students to create while learning about healthy food options. Some of the foods made were a wholemeal waffle parfait, fruit skewers, berry smoothies and baked chicken nuggets and chips.
