Street Smart High

04.04.19

Year 10 students attended the 2019 Street Smart High annual road safety education event hosted by RAA in conjunction with Event Partner the Motor Accident Commission. This event aims to educate young South Australians about the importance of road safety, as road crashes are one of the leading causes of death for young people under the age of 25.

Street Smart High demonstrates the devastating reality of road trauma to students through a realistic crash scene, moving guest speakers who have experienced this trauma first hand and a series of ‘tough talk’ video clips. Furthermore, it provides an opportunity for students to learn about driving risks and avoid situations that place themselves and others in danger.
