Sister Brigid Arthur and Sister Angela Ryan, our Brigidine Sisters, were named in this year’s Queen’s Birthday Honours. This is well-deserved recognition of the extraordinary work that they have done over many decades.
Both are intelligent, hardworking and generous women who live out the Gospel with deep sincerity and grace.
It is an honour to know these incredible women and to be part of Kildare Ministries.
Year 10 students boarded buses and headed up the freeway to the El Shaddai Campsite for three days and two nights of fun, challenging and bonding activities.
YIPPEE TEEPEE Year 8 Sleepovers - Complete! Now all of the Year 8 students have experienced their Teepee sleepover at Kildare - enjoying evening activities, followed by breakfast , ice skating and a visit to the Beachouse.
For the first time since last year, we gathered as a College community for our Reconciliation Liturgy.
At the heart of Reconciliation is the relationship with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people. Jesus reminds us we are all connected as brothers and sisters.
The Year 12 students were able to connect outside the classroom and visit Bowland for the afternoon. Students cheered each other on as they scored strikes, spares, and a few gutter balls.
With all the challenges the last few years have thrown at us, it was a pleasure to see the Year 10 and Senior Drama classes perform for an audience.
During Term 2 Week 5, Kildare College along with the Italian faculty celebrated Italian Week. The purpose of Italian Week was to promote the subject and inspire students with different activities that help celebrate the Italian culture.
Self determination, and Indigenous sovereignty were just some of the themes presented to our Year 10 History class and Nunga group on their recent visit to view My Blood it Runs during National Reconciliation Week. Students expressed ideas on how they will make change for a better Australia.
