We are very proud to congratulate Abby (Class of 2024) on being awarded the University of Adelaide Principals’ Scholarship!
Last year, Abby was awarded the 2024 AMPOL Best All-Rounder Award, recognising her outstanding commitment, academic excellence and dedication to Kildare College, including an array of Leadership Roles and Music Performances. She was also the 2024 Subject Dux recipient for an incredible four subjects - Legal Studies, Music Performance - Solo, Psychology and Spiritualities, Religion and Meaning.
Abby will soon begin studying a Bachelor of Psychology (Advanced) Honours at the University of Adelaide. We wish her every success for this exciting next chapter.
Today we welcomed our new students for their first official day at Kildare College! With the sun shining and a buzz of excitement, it was a wonderful day for our new students to make connections, receive their timetable and explore the College.
Our 2025 Student Leadership Team is stepping into their roles with energy and enthusiasm, ready to lead us through an inspiring year ahead.
Late last year, our College Captains, Amelia and Jasmine, embarked on an incredible two-day journey to Saltbush, Balnarring Beach. Joining students from 10 Kildare Ministries schools across Australia, they immersed themselves in meaningful activities, formed lasting connections, and embraced the beauty of nature.
Our entire Student Leadership Team took part in the Catholic Education South Australia (CESA) Student Leadership Day for Youth and Young Adults. This experience allowed them to explore the values of leadership, exchange ideas, and connect with other young leaders from Catholic schools across the state.
We are so proud of the way these students are embracing their responsibilities and look forward to seeing the positive impact they will make in 2025!
With over two decades of dedicated service to Catholic Education South Australia, and a total of 29 years in Catholic Education, Cherrell Murray has been a pillar of wisdom, guidance and genuine care for our community.
Over her time at Kildare, Cherrell has been integral to Learning Enrichment providing extensive support to our entire College community. She has been an inspiring mentor to our students and staff, always fostering a welcoming environment of growth.
As Cherrell prepares for retirement, we farewell, congratulate and thank her for her incredible commitment to education and Kildare College.
1000 Paper Cranes made by our Year 8 cohort have flown, literally, to Japan! Studying Shogunate Japan, our Year 8 students were inspired by Sadako Sasaki's story, about a young girl who attempted to fold 1000 cranes to aid her recovery from leukemia, caused by the Hiroshima atomic bomb. The Paper Cranes will be displayed at Hiroshima’s Peace Memorial Park as a symbol of striving for world peace.
Leading up to the holiday season, our Living Justice | Living Peace group held a Christmas Appeal in support of Vinnies and the Australian Refugee Association.
Nurturing our Core Values of Compassion, Hospitality and Justice, students and staff donated gifts and cooked delicious food to feed those in need.
A very special thank you to everyone involved in making a difference for so many people.
