Welcome back to Term 2 - a message from Tina Neate, Principal

22.04.20
Dear Families

Welcome back to Term 2. Hope that you had a lovely Easter with your families, especially during these times.

Thank you to all the families who responded to the survey that was sent out on Monday. We sincerely appreciate you taking the time to provide us with your needs and comments so that we are able to plan accordingly.

Hence, after analysing the results of the survey, at this stage, 50% of the students will be returning to school at the start of Term 2 and the following arrangements have been put into place for Kildare College:
  • Learning in the first part of Term 2 will be online regardless of whether your daughter is at school or studying from home.
  • All students will have access to their usual teachers for the duration of all their timetabled lessons, through our online learning platforms or in the classroom.
  • College Buses - All routes A, B, C, D, and E will operate as normal before and after school.
  • Canteen will now be open for students to preorder via Qkr their recess and lunch.
  • Breakfast Club will be available from 8.00am from the Canteen each day.
  • Homework Club will be available from 3.30pm - 4.20pm each day.
In addition to the above, please note the following for your planning:
  • Winter Uniform - All students who attend school are to wear their winter uniform. If you are still waiting for your daughter's uniform to arrive, students can wear their PE or summer uniform.
  • Term 2, Week 10 - On the calendar that was sent to you earlier in the year, this week had been designated as a Professional Development Week for staff. In light of the Student Free days that occurred at the end of last term, Term 2, Week 10 will now be a normal teaching week.
  • Year 10 Camp - At this stage, we are investigating if the camp can take place later in the year.
  • St Paul's Lessons - St Paul's will correspond directly with the students and families who are studying subjects at St Paul's.
  • Year 10, 11 and 12 Learning Reviews - The Learning Reviews will take place on Thursday, 7 May 2020. More information will be sent early next week.
We will continue to update you as we move forward and navigate our way back to school.

Once again, we thank you for your incredible patience and support. We are truly blessed to be part of such a wonderful community.

Enjoy the last few days of the holidays.

Many blessings always,

Tina Neate
