Charrette

26.09.19

Our Year 7 Project where students are designing and making a piece of contemporary jewellery inspired by their depth study of Ancient Egypt is well underway.

Part of the design process is for each student to participate in a feedback activity called a Charrette. The Charrette is a term borrowed from the architectural community. The purpose of a Charrette is to improve a piece of work. Students use this strategy to improve their work when they are stuck or unsure of how to improve their work. In the photo you can see the students working in small groups. Each student has created a question for the other members that they have about their work and then the group helps the students move forward in their project.
