The Year 9 students participated in an Enlighten Education workshop called the Butterfly Effect. The Enlighten Education workshops are specifically designed for girls with the aim of improving self-esteem, self-worth and resilience.

Students engaged in a wide range of activities to build these qualities, such as creating journals and sharing them with others so they could write affirmations for their peers in them, sharing the wonderful qualities that they appreciate in their friends and developing a 10 step strategy for resolving conflict.

The students finished the day by declaring their support for their ‘sisters’ who play such an important role in their lives.

The Year 7 students are invited to take part in our very first Vinnies Winter Sleepout on Friday 16 August. The sleepout is designed to help raise awareness of the challenges faced by people in our community who experience homelessness. We are asking students to bring a donation of a can of soup that we will present to St Vincent de Paul representatives during the evening. Students will participate in a variety of fun activities, while learning about homelessness. We are looking forward to the evening and hope the students are too.
