A simple thing like saying hello can make a world of difference.

Term 3 is our favourite time of the year. The Resource Centre comes alive with many activities and events. The Kildare Resource Centre Student Volunteers have been very busy preparing and organising these items.  

Here is an outline of what Term 3 offers.

New Books Event Launch
On Wednesday 7 August in the second half of lunch, new books will be available for borrowing. The students can’t wait.

Research Project
Our Year 11 Research Project students have attended a session in the Resource Centre developing their Research Skills. The Resource Centre Portal Page offers students access to up-to-date and reliable databases. 

Premier’s Reading Challenge
During 2019 we have had on overwhelming response to student participation. The Challenge finishes on Friday 6 September  2019. Celebrations and presentations of students' medals and certificates will be presented in Term 4.

For every book read the students receive a sticker that represents their House team. The Premier’s Reading Challenge Trophy will be presented at the completion of the challenge.

So far 1409 books have been read by the students who are participating in the Premiers Reading Challenge. An amazing result.

Book Week
Book Week is in Term 3, Week 5. The 2019 theme is Reading Gives You Secret Powers.

We will celebrate this theme by bringing books to life by exploring genres.

What is happening during book Week?
Special Guest - Author Allayne Webster will be visiting Kildare College
Every day will be filled with fun games and prizes.

Staff and student dress up parade 
The parade will be held on Friday, Week 5 of Term 3
Your outfit must represent a character from a book.
Prizes will be presented to the best costume.
Let the festivities begin!
