In this edition of the Kildare newsletter, Isabella discusses the learning task that her Art class were given last year, and shares her reflection.

Task:
Our task was to paint in the style of Vincent Van Gogh. We were able to change different parts of the image but the idea was to create a work inspired by his style. We could paint it using any medium and it had to be painted on A3 Paper.

Reflection;
This artwork is inspired by the famous Vincent Van Gogh as of last year when I was in year 8 my class and I were learning about Vincent Van Gogh and his Famous art work paintings. My class and I had a choice to choose which art work we wanted to do which I chose the violet Irises. The materials that I used to create the art work was water colour paint, charcoal, and lead pencils. The theme of this artwork is based on the Vincent Van Gogh flower paintings. The step that I enjoyed the most about creating this art work was how I was allowed to be as creative as I liked with what colours I used.
