Subject based admission to Uni of Adelaide

03.03.20

From this year, the University of Adelaide will be offering subject-based admission entry pathways into some of their tertiary courses.

This means that the Selection Rank number given at the end of Year 12 studies (often referred to as an ATAR but is the result given after any adjustments are taken into account), is not the only way into some courses and students can choose subjects at school that will help them prepare for success at university whilst taking advantage of subject-based entry into some courses.

Subject based pathways are available into: Arts, Commerce, Engineering, Health & Medical Science, Media, Psychological Science and Science.

Year 12 students will continue to apply for these courses as normal through SATAC, listing the University of Adelaide in their preferences. The University will then assess individual applications against their subjects as well as their Selection Rank.
