Our Year 10 students spent their morning away from their desks and immersed in the world of work and study pathways.
The Year 10 Careers Morning provided the students with an opportunity to listen to three different speakers and hear about various careers, educational journeys and personal pathways. Students were also able to ask questions of the speakers, throughout the sessions, preparing them for future PLP assignments.
With session choices as varied as Child Care, Fitness, Youth Work, Video Game Design and Science, to name a few, students were given the chance to hear about a range of interesting career fields.
I would like to thank our presenters, all members of the Kildare College community, for their time and willingness to speak to our Year 10 students and provide a ‘real’ career experience. This guidance and honesty have helped many of the students shape their own future career ideas.
If you have a career experience that you would like to share with our students, please contact me at rsarvas@kildare.catholic.edu.au to register your interest in future events.
