Tuesday night was crazy hair round for our Year 9 debating team - Danielle, Caitlyn, Sophia, Madison. The team arrived at the venue in high spirits, sporting some absolutely fabulous hairstyles!
The team is now ranked 11th out of 42 teams. Wow!
This week students debated the topic ‘the missing commonwealth games athletes need to be deported’. We had the affirmative side and the team conducted excellent research concerning immigration law in Australia to produce their argument. Unfortunately, the team lost by 5 points; however, the adjudicator was thoroughly impressed by the strength of the team’s argument and presented the debater of the night award to Sophia. Well done Sophia and well done team.
