We gathered as a community this week to recognise the efforts and achievements of our students in Semester 1. Two awards were presented, they were the Academic Achievement Award and the Principal's Endeavour Award.

The Year 11 Retreat was a great opportunity for the students to step out of their ordinary routines for the day and experience a day of fun, friendship and personal and spiritual reflection.

At our recent Awards Assembly we acknowledged students who are representing the state in their chosen sports. Positions in state teams are highly contested and those selected demonstrate excellent skills and commitment.

During Book Week, Kildare College will welcome local author Allayne L. Webster to run workshops on creative writing, editing and sassing up your writing, and writing with intent.

Term 2 was the first time our Year 10 students participated in Careers Week. This event allowed our students to experience workshops and presentations within university and VET environments at a range of locations including Flinders University Bedford and Tonsley campuses, University of South Australia City West Campus, University of Adelaide and Queensford College.

We welcomed back to Kildare past scholar Dr Julie Monis-Ivett OAM to address our community at the Awards Assembly. Julie was a student in 1966 when Kildare opened its doors to its first students. However, it is for her humanitarian work in health support programs that culminated in Julie receiving an OAM in 2018.

The Defence Industry Pathways Program or DIPP is a semester length VET course which focuses on advanced manufacturing and design. 

Each year across Australia, the Children’s Book Council of Australia (CBCA) brings children and books together celebrating CBCA Book Week. The theme this year is ‘Reading Gives you Secret Powers’.

Thank you to the families who attended the 2019 Career and Subject Expo - the first time in our beautiful new Brigidine Centre! 

Youth is a stage of life characterised by rapid psychological and physical transition where young people progress from being dependent children to independent adults. Young people may be inclined to experiment and take risks that could potentially impact on their own health and wellbeing, as well as others. 

College tours are held regularly throughout the term. The next tours are;
